We are looking for teacher nominations from families and students for the Big Apple Awards. The Big Apple Award is given to a small number of teachers each year to recognize and celebrate their excellence in teaching. Students, families, administrators, and community members can all nominate any public school teacher or CBO teacher.
The Big Apple Awards nomination window remains open until February 28! Please consider nominating a teacher who has made the difference in your child's life by submitting a shout-out through the DOE All Stars website (sign in as a Guest), or simply emailing bigappleteachers@schools.nyc.gov with the teacher's name and school. email us with the teacher’s name and school information or tell your school office or Family Engagement Coordinator at your Superintendent’s office.
After nomination, the teacher will receive an application to move forward in the process. The selection process will begin after completed applications are received, and all winners will be announced by the end of the school year.
